Dr. Mark Jackson is Associate Professor of Design in the School of Art and Design, Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies at AUT University, New Zealand. He has published in the fields of design history and theory, the visual arts, film and media as well as architecture and landscape architecture. He has had a number of film and video works exhibited internationally. His current research focus is on ethics and design cultures with particular emphasis on the works of Derrida, Heidegger, Agamben and Levinas.

In 2013 Ahilapalapa Rands co-curated Close To Home, the 6th Tautai Tertiary Exhibition at ST Paul St Gallery with her Mum Melanie Rands followed by her recent curation of the Artspace exhibition W e l co m e in September 2014. She is one of the founding members of D.A.N.C.E. art club (2008-present). Ahi is a fourth generation New Zealander on her father’s side and second on her mother’s side with links to Hawai‘i, Tongareva, Fiji, Samoan, England & Scotland.
