Wood Veneer Leg (Part 1 & 2) (1999)

8 min 36 secSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

The artist walks into the corner of a room, sits on a chair and trims a roll of wood veneer. He peels the adhesive backing of the veneer and wraps it around his leg. He unpeels it from his leg, scrunches it up and leaves. The camera fades. The artist re-enters with another roll of wood veneer. He repeats the process of peeling, fitting, removal and departure.
