CIRCUIT and the Govett Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre (New Plymouth) are proud to present Suspended Agency, a major new video installation by Peter Wareing. Shot and edited over the past three years in Dagenham - a London Borough which voted overwhelmingly for Brexit - Suspended Agency follows a small cast of individuals stranded between action, paralysis and mysterious portents. Runs 6 April - 21 July 2019.
Currently showing on Wellington public art video platform Masons Screen is Bent’s art for no-one (2014), a wry commentary on the role of public art - “Sometimes it seems to be for no one, but everyone knows it’s there.” Submissions for this ongoing project are welcome.
In a first outing as an installation, our 2018 programme of Artist Cinema Commissions, Truth or Consequences, continues at the Ashburton Art Gallery until 28 April.
CIRCUIT is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees and oversee the management and reporting of our organization’s finances. Knowledge of book keeping and Xero essential, knowledge of the arts welcome. More info here or contact Mark Williams <director (at) circuit.org.nz>
