CIRCUIT is very excited to announce a call for papers for our 2019 Symposium, From Me To You. Presented this year in Newtown, Wellington, From Me To You traces a line from the contemporary world of Instagram to the history of experimental film and video to ask;'What is the boundary between the personal and the political in artists moving image work? Where does art begin in the diaristic? How can an artist’s personal experiences address collective problems? How are artists using social media platforms to invert private and public space and make carefully orchestrated work where the personal is made public, and shareable? What is the role of the audience in witnessing the personal?' See here for more info. CIRCUIT is hiring! CIRCUIT is seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication skills for a temporary position as a Production & Promotion Assistant for 30 hours per week, between the dates of 2 September - 6 October 2019.
