Dunedin screening: six works in response to Joanna Margaret Paul's poetry

Join us for a screening this Saturday 7 August 1pm at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Six artists respond to the poetry of Joanna Margaret Paul, films by Nova Paul, Rachel Shearer, Miranda Parkes, popular productions, Sonya Lacey, and Shannon Te Ao. Free entry, 1 screening! Introduced by CIRCUIT Director Mark Williams, who co-curated the programme with Canadian filmmaker Solomon Nagler. Commissioned by CIRCUIT with the support of Creative New Zealand.

Masons Screen commissions

We are pleased to announce three new commissions have been awarded to Gabriel White, Louie Zalk-Kneale (Ngāi Te Rangi, Pākehā), and Jamie Berry (Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki, Rongowhakaata, Ngāti Porou, Ngā Puhi). Each artist will make a new work for Wellington public art space Masons Screen, which will be exhibited from November 2021. Each applicant offered expanded responses to the site, stretching from past to present, from harbour to shore, from Pōneke and all the way to Tāmaki.

CIRCUIT staff are busily working away on our new website, to be launched in November. We are talking to artists and other stakeholders about our site but we always welcome more feedback.
