Activity Round-Up
 

In this first CIRCUIT newsletter for 2021 we'd like to welcome everyone back to another exciting year. To our friends based internationally, we hope you are keeping safe and secure. If you're reading this from Aotearoa, we hope you can join us to celebrate the opening of these upcoming projects;

Opening 5.30pm, Monday 1 March, The Arts Centre, Christchurch - Sovereign Pacific / Pacific Sovereigns, CIRCUIT’s 2020 Artist Cinema Commissions featuring new work for cinema by Rangituhia Hollis, Ana Iti, Alex Monteith, Sione Monu and Gary-Ross Pastrana (Phillipines). Curated by David Teh (Singapore).

Opening 5.30pm, Friday 5 March, The Audio Foundation, Auckland - Whakapapa/Algorithms a collection of multi-media work by Jamie Berry, reflecting the artists past, present and future through her DNA and whakapapa. This installation builds on Jamie’s live performance commissioned by CIRCUIT in 2020 for The Sound of Seeing.

Now showing on Wellington public art space Masons Screen, Annie Bradley's The Sea in Us (2021). A dancers response to the contours and vistas surrounding the iconic Athfield House. Commissioned by CIRCUIT and Wellington City Council.
