CIRCUIT Activity

CIRCUIT finishes the year with a burst of activity in Auckland; opening 5.30pm Thurs 30 Nov at The Audio Foundation, PULSE/REPEAT is a group exhibition curated by CIRCUIT Curatorial Intern Priscilla Howe. Featuring work from Magdalena Hoult, Willow McCarthy, Alexandre Larose, Diva Blair, PULSE / REPEAT addresses the relationship between technology and the body. The opening also features a live performance from Robyn Jordaan.

On Tuesday 12 December CIRCUIT partners with Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery to present the Auckland premiere of our 2017 Artist Cinema Commissions. Curated by Mercedes Vicente, Thick Cinema features new work from Fiona Amundsen, John Di Stefano, Sam Hamilton, Kim Pieters and Joyce Campbell. Shot in New Zealand, Japan, USA and Italy, the five works engage variously with the legacy of fascism, the sexual union of eels, public gardens, the sunset and memory. 7pm, admission free, don't miss!

Now showing on Masons Screen in Wellington is Guillaume Cailleau's Funktionslust (2017). The second of our three annual commissions for this public art space, Funktionslust reimagines the cities business workforce as a kaleidoscopic hive mind.
