Berlin-based Japanese artist Yukihiro Taguchi creates playful and temporary interventions that engage with any given environment he finds himself in. Using everyday materials found in the immediate vicinity, Taguchi creates formations that are animated through stop-motion techniques. Styrofoam becomes a cigarette-wielding rabbit. Sprinklings of dirt cluster together to create a guiding hand.

‘Baseball’ is a cryptic and hypnotic fever-dream of a world out of sync.
Like picture postcards from a parallel universe, a series of static and surreal vignettes reveal the lives of a loose knit group of teenagers trying to find sense in emptiness.
The feature film debut of F. Theodore Elliott, ‘Baseball’ offers a compelling, challenging and surreal cinematic experience not to be missed.
Director: F. Theodore Elliott

CIRCUIT is proud to present The Kalampag Tracking Agency, a programme of Filipino artist films from 1985-2014, introduced by Manila-based artist and curator Shireen Seno.
Featuring animistic ritual, Imelda Marcos and re-purposed action movie footage, this programme offers an urgent response to the “cultural and libidinal complex of colonization” in the Phillipines.
