"Early 2016 I suffered a cardiac arrest on a field of grass in Berhampore, Wellington. I was on a date, a kind of heartbreak I had never endured before, left me in a day coma and in the hospital for just shy of three weeks. This work consists of the patch of grass I fell into a cardiac arrest on, dug up in the afternoon around the time it happened. This projection piece consists of a re-imagined memory, the places I remember being, leading up to the incident. The conversation that happens on the screen reads:

"He had you
When he told you
He can not hide his heart
Or control it
Mechanical beating has an off switch."
