Higgs Boson interview (2015)

3 min 19 secSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

From an ongoing series begun in 2015 called The God Particle in Residence, where a sub- atomic particle spends time in various places in and beyond Aotearoa and navigates their experience of self and collective. The particle is an ancient yet new ‘visitor’ to the contemporary world, a quick-study of the human condition, yet at heart an entity that doesn’t quite fit in and struggles to learn the seemingly absurd rules of normality and abnormality that guide human connection.

This series explores the human condition through the tragic-comic lens of identity at a subatomic level, and mixes archetypes and stereotypes of identity politics with strange, barely explicable experiences of self and collective.
