Middle Landscape (2009)

10 minutes 19 secondsSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

Tents are pitched on a fragrant bed of pine bark mulch that fills the gallery. In one tent a large monitor plays an endless loop of a digger drilling a muddy hole. In another, wide-angle, fibre-optic images of mosses and ruined geodesic domes, shot through a re-purposed colonoscope form the ground for a text exploring a complex and contradictory framing of the non-human world.

The Middle Landscape was included as part of the mixed-media installation of the same name.
