CIRCUIT is delighted to announce that this Matariki, a work by Aotearoa-Tuvaluan artist Vailahi Vailahi will show on Masons Screen.
Based in Porirua in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Vailahi recently completed a Master of Design Innovation at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University. His practice explores how technology can be used to document and share Indigenous knowledge, ensuring that Pacific heritage is preserved for future generations.
This is the sixth year that CIRCUIT has worked with an artist to show a new video work over the Matariki period, which will premiere on Masons Screen in central Pōneke, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington in June. Vailahi's project is curated for Matariki by CIRCUIT's Kaitiaki Kiriaita Tanya Ruka.
