Thanks to everyone who submitted proposals to make a new work for Masons Screen in 2022-23.
Representatives of CIRCUIT and Wellington City Council Public Art met recently and awarded four commissions to Hana Pera Aoake, Matthew Cowan and Jana Müller, Xi Li and Leala Faleseuga.
We received such a large number of quality proposals that we decided to enlarge the number of commissions offered from three to four, and to increase the run time of each work to six weeks.
The new works will show on Masons Screen from Dec 2022 through to May 2023. They will be accompanied by an essay reflecting on the relationship between the works and public space.
