Drilled in 1865, the Alpha Well was the first onshore well in the Moturoa oil field, a small part of the much larger Taranaki Basin. Republic NP4 was drilled in 1976 and is within walking distance of Alpha.

The title of this work is a quote from the documentary Greta Thunberg: A Year to Change the World.
