"Kahu is the Māori name given to the Harrier Hawk. Commonly seen in New Zealand feeding on carrion, they themselves often become victims of the road. Still wearing the last remnants of down, this Kahu had yet to make his/her first flight and so was at the mercy of these curious calves."
