Look Up (2014)

3 min 26 secSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

Since I have moved to Sydney I have been staying in spare rooms at various friends' places. It's been three months and I have finally found a permanent home. But for sometime I was in the inner west suburb, Stanmore, which sits right directly in the flight path of the airport, the sound and sight of the planes happen from early in the morning to late at night coming from both directions. I felt a strange connection to these planes comings and goings, the way they never stayed in one place, their movement became my constant.

Sometimes when I would be alone in the house in Stanmore, I would open the door, go out on the balcony, look up and just watch them pass by.
