"In May of 2017 I travelled to Taipei to investigate 15 people I had found on the internet. We had no knowledge or any contact with each other, total strangers in fact but we had one thing in common; we’re all called Mike Ting.

Between faith, certainty and doubt, these intimate strangers become strange intimates and reveal the subtle and sometimes ancient powers that shape their identities in a modern nation state, yet live in a country that lacks official recognition."
