Technology: David Bowie (2016)

"A public figure's reputation is often at odds with their history. In the aftermath of Bowie's 2016 death, news coverage swarmed around the perception of Bowie as innovator, leader, artist. In this hazily collaged montage of material cribbed from David Bowie's four appearances on Saturday Night Live we have German Bowie, Grunge Bowie, Industrial Bowie, and Adult Contemporary Bowie. Captured on the eternal variety show in 1976, 1991, 1997, and 1999, a more nuanced portrait of the artist emerges through his attempts to ride alternative currents of popular culture."
