A video for Tao Wells’ exhibition Three Ideas for the State. The video begins with excerpts from television newscasts re-presented as a mock trailer for a Hollywood blockbuster featuring former Prime Minister John Key and television news anchors. Wells pivots from this to present three ideas directly to camera, which include the incorporation of indigenous place names and language into public life in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
