Sonya Lacey is an artist based in Auckland. She completed her MFA at Elam School of FIne Arts in 2007. Recent exhibitions have included Greentext Thread (Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts, Auckland), Polygon Window (Robert Heald Gallery, Wellington), Making things clear, The Physics Room, Christchurch), Artspace New Artists Show 2009 (Artspace, Auckland) and Running on Pebbles (curated by Allan Smith, Snake Pit, Auckland). Her work has also been included in group exhibitions in Glasgow, London and Canada, and she recently completed a collaborative Visual Arts Residency with Sarah Rose at The Banff Centre, Canada. In December 2012 she will undertake a residency at Seoul Artspace Geumcheon (also with Sarah Rose).
