Over the weekend of 25–27 October 2024, works by CIRCUIT artists will screen at the Kahungunu Marae in Nūhaka as part of Movies at the Marae, a festival of Māori, Pasifika and Indigenous moving image. The festival is a partnership between the Wairoa Māori Film Festival and Kahungunu Marae, and celebrates the marae's 75th anniversary.

Programme highlights include Sarah Hudson in 'Toi Whenua, Toi Māori' on Friday, followed by a presentation of Rematriation, introduced by curator Tanya Ruka on Saturday. Fresh from the BFI London Film Festival, Jake Kīanō Skinner (Ngāti Rangitihi, Tūhoe) and Noel Meek's commission Two Stones | Rua Kōhatu (2024) will show in 'Kiriata Moemoea', an outdoor screening on Saturday evening that will also be projected inside the wharenui on Sunday.

The Wairoa Māori Film Festival is founded and directed Leo Koziol (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Rakaipaaka), previously CIRCUIT's Matariki Curator for 2022 and 2023.

CIRCUIT Director Mark Williams says: "CIRCUIT is proud to once again partner with the Wairoa Māori Film Festival and Kahungunu Marae to present Rematriation. Wairoa is Aotearoa's longest running Indigenous film festival and Kahungunu Marae is surely one of the most unique settings in world cinema. Māuri ora!"
