Boob Reflection (2011)

Boob Reflection shows a woman’s chest and collarbone, white bra slightly exposed, reflected in a window. The chest is completely still, disconnected from a head or a torso, and is framed by a vine on a fence that is outside the window.

This work feels both chanced-upon and planned at the same time. It’s a reflection you might see suddenly in a shop window, but the chest also appears to hang neatly from the wooden fence on the other side of the window, as if it has been pegged up on a washing line.
