Funhouse (2006)

1 min 52 secSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

Two people play a game of badminton in an urban alleyway. As they move the gravel underfoot creates an accompanying soundtrack. A racket strikes a piece of metal creating a loud percussive crash. The camera follows the action in a flurry of movement. The initial images and sound are recut to generate a an even more rapid, abrasive audio/video montage that is sometimes interrupted by images of the two people sleeping in a bed. The video ends with video dropout.

"Funhouse utilises the single video frame layered up and repeated to build a score, which is laid upon a visual bed, cut in much the same manner."
