Max Fleury / Anna Brimer

Glory (2019)

9 min 46 secSingle channel / Digital Video / Colour / Sound

In Glory, Max Fleury and Anna Brimer gather discarded consumer goods from local charity shops, including a bread board, mini weights and a plastic bin. Setting up their materials in various combinations outside a public toilet, they use an external tap to stage an absurd public monument, while locals watch on. Glory was later presented in a former plumbing showroom as part of the AURA Festival of Artist Moving Images, a festival of artist video presented by CIRCUIT which responded to the suburb of Newtown.
