“…the arch is an object crafted to constrain my body to the ground, measured to fit my torso and too heavy to escape, the object demands to be confronted. (Undertaking the performance) I was filled with an uneasy feeling of unfamiliar discomfort. It varied between the unnerving feeling of wondering if I left the stove on and a darker sensation of thick fingers on my body. It became compulsive, feelings demanding to be felt, battling my consciousness, leaking from cracks I thought I had heavily plastered over. The object is a material representation I used to confront and resolve these feelings."
