
Matthew Whiteman is a Pōneke-based writer of poems and essays. In 2025, he was the Liz Stringer Curatorial Intern at New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (First Class) in Art History from Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington.
