People play near a river or waterfall, laying near the water or swimming. The image has been made with a photographic technique called three colour separation, in which the scene is filmed three times, and each negative given a red, blue and green primary colour. These negatives are layered on top of each other, and combined into one image, which appears to show an ‘after-image’ of different movements recorded in each shot.
